I honestly do not know what I’m doing! I started this journey thinking that all these influencers I’m seeing on social media get to work from home doing simple little things like making a video or sharing a product. They make it sound so easy. “All you have to do is go to Amazon and sign up!” Yep, that’s it. That’s all you have to do. That’s NOT all you have to do.
You see, once you get into it and you listen to the You Tube videos on how to begin, you find out you need a website, then you need Canva, then you need to make sure you post your ads you created on Canva on Pinterest. Then you find out you need to pay Pinterest to boost your ads or no one sees them. Now you are at least a few hundred dollars into the process and you have only earned $1.02. That’s what I earned anyway. On a Pinterest ad that I paid to boost but it was one of my very first ads and I have no idea what made someone want to follow the link.
So I think I’ll start writing about what I learn as I go. Maybe that will help me to wrap my head around the process and then who knows, maybe I’ll start making the kind of money the other social media bloggers are making!

I bought this surround sound system for my Vizio TV that I won and our company Christmas auction in December 2025. Ok, so I’m old school. I prefer to listen to my music directly from the CD or Vinyl. But how do you listen to CD’s now when everything has been uploaded to streaming platforms? Well, this Retro Portable CD Player looks like it could be a good solution! It’s not the big bulky stereo system like we had back in the day, but it might work for playing your CD’s. Personally, if they still make the kind of CD player that allows you to put ALL of your CD’s in it so you can choose your music like a juke-box, that might be a good option too!
